KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Kong superstar Nicholas Tse and Taiwanese heart-throb Jay Chou have started shooting for the action movie Against War at two locations right in the heart of the city.

Film director Dante Lam had the cameras rolling after lunch yesterday with both actors, who arrived on Tuesday, in different takes.

Action choreographer Chin Kar Lok set up the props at Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Ampang near KLCC.

Tse, 30, was spotted at the location of the first shooting taking a breather at 4pm.

He wore a blue-and-white striped shirt with brown tie and had a tattoo on his right forearm.

His clean-shaven character also had slicked-back hair and wore a pair of dark-rimmed glasses.

Tse was recently named Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in the movie Stool Pigeon.

Chou, 32, was spotted alighting from a taxi at the second location at about 6.30pm.

In the scene, he met up with Chinese actress Bai Bing beside a white van with the logo Asia Centre For Disease Prevention and Control.

His character wore an open long-sleeved beige shirt over a grey T-shirt.

The movie revolves around two brothers, played by Chou and Tse, investigating an international criminal case related to a deadly virus.

Bai plays a damsel-in-distress character whom the duo have to rescue.

In the movie, the case will take them to various countries, including China, Thailand, Jordan, Vietnam and Singapore.

Filming for the HK$200mil (RM77mil) movie will continue in Kuala Lumpur till the end of the month. Half of the scenes will be shot in Malaysia.

The other locations include Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Kampung Pandan.

The crew is expected to be at Dataran Merdeka today to shoot some scenes.

Joining them on the set was their rising hot co-star from mainland China, Bai Bing.

Nicholas and Bai Bing began their work as early as 8am on the Maju Express Way, the express way that links KL to KLIA.

Earlier, the cast and crew - led by highly-praised Hong Kong director Dante Lam held special prayers to mark the beginning of their film shoot in KL.

Jay finally came into the picture around 6.30pm to shoot a crucial scene in Avenue K, near Suria KLCC.

Sporting a rugged look - with facial hair to boot, the Taiwanese superstar made a V sign at his fans who camped outside KLCC just to catch a glimpse of him in action.

Needless to say, the presence of the three lead cast of Against War caused a massive traffic jam in KL city centre.
