[NEWS] 101210 U-Kiss’ ‘First Kiss’ ranks second on Oricon Daily on day of release


U-Kiss’ first official Japanese album, “First Kiss,” has managed to rank second on the first day of its release on the Oricon Daily Chart.
U-Kiss also held their Japanese concert on the same day at ZEPP Tokyo and had outstanding results, selling out all of the 5,000 seats. Despite the cold weather, fans gathered from the early morning to wait for the two-hour long standing concert. U-Kiss performed their hit tracks "Man Man Ha Ni", "Bingeul Bingeul", "Shut Up!", and others.



After hearing that their album ranked second on the Oricon chart, the members revealed, “Having just completed our concert, it’s a touching moment to be able to hear that our album is receiving a great response. Thank you so much to the fans that have supported us all this time.
U-Kiss will be returning to Korea to prepare for the year-end ceremonies after the completion of their Japanese schedule. A busy schedule is also awaiting the group in the coming new year with Dongho and Kiseop set to appear in MBC's 'Real School', and Kevin participating in the musical, 'On Air Live'.

On 10th, Korean 7-members idol group U-Kiss held a release commemoration conference of their Japan's first album 'First Kiss' at Tokyo Aomi’s Livehouse Zepp-Tokyo. Alexander said, "It was our dream long ago to release album in Japan, happy that it is realized at last. We also want to release album sang in Japanese early". While Eli said, "Because members of U-Kiss are of international team which can speak various languages, I would like to do international activities". Dongho also revealed his aspirations, "The final goal, of course, is to advance worldwide but first, I want to work hard for the activities in Japan. Such as Tokyo Dome, I would like to step on the stage of even bigger performance venues and also would like to cast in variety program, drama and movie".

U-Kiss is an idol group formed in Aug 2008 made up of 7 guys: Alexander, Soohyun, Kibum, Kiseop, Eli, Kevin and Dongho. Not only from Korea, it also consists of members who are born in America, China (Hong Kong). The U of the group name, is the first initial of Ubiquitous and meaning YOU, while KISS meaning 'Korean International Idol Superstar'. Because of their singing ability and power performances, after 2 months they debuted, they were awarded the Rookie Award in Asia Song Festival. Each member is active in various genres, such as model or appearances in variety shows. They have won high recognition not only in Korea, but also in Taiwan, China and other Asian countries.

The release of their album this time round is their official debut in Japan. Kiseop expressed his gratitude, "Very honored. I think it is because of all the fans that we are able to release album this way in Japan". Soohyun appealed that, "From the debut song to the latest song, all are included in this one album. It is a great album which one can enjoy all the tracks from the cute us at first to the manly us".

Prior to the conference, the 7 members also carried out the event limited to fan club members. They showed 2 songs including 'Man Man Ha Ni' and also held a talk. Because about 2,000 female fans that flocked to the venue were in great excitement, Kibum said in Japanese "I'm surprised for really supporting us very much. I’m glad. It was a great time". Moreover, event was also done in Osaka on 6th, "Really thankful for everyone for welcoming us", Kevin said.

Now, the 7 members of U-Kiss are appearing as regular in Made in BS Japan, airing in BS Japan. On this day, as continuation of 6th in Osaka, they will also hold their Japan's first solo concert.

[NEWS] 101211 U-Kiss held an Event and Press Conference at the release of their Japan First Album 'First Kiss'


On 10th at 3PM, idol group U-Kiss held 'Kiss Me JAPAN Fan Club Members Only Event' at Zepp Tokyo and charmed the fans with powerful performances and young men talk.

The fan club only event started with 'Man Man Ha Ni', followed up with a talk corner about their Japan first album' First Kiss' which when "an album which contained U-Kiss' effort, sweat and the love from everyone. It was able to release because of the presence of all Kiss Me (name of fan club). While savoring the memories with us, we also want to create new memories together in the future" was said, loud cheers erupted.


Moreover, putting Alexander as mother, Soohyun as father in the family for the roles among the members showed the appeal of their good relationship. Across other corners such as gesture game and English NG talk, they unfolded a totally different powerful stage with their last song 'Shut up!'.


Afterwards, 'Japan First Album 'First KISS' Release Press Conference' was held. "Hello everyone, we are U-Kiss", giving their greeting energetically in Japanese. About the release of the album, "It was our dream long ago to release album in Japan. Also want to release a Japanese album early". (Alexander) "I sincerely think it’s because of the fans". (Kiseop). Words of gratitude were spoken.



About the attraction points of the album, "From debut to the latest song, all are included in this one album. All the songs from the lively lovely atmosphere at the time of the debut to manly music are included" was as publicized. About plans of their future activities, they talked about their dreams, "Because we are an international team which can speak various languages, I would like to do international activities. Of course the aim is to advance worldwide, but the near team goal is to do our best for Japan's activities. I want to hold a live performance at big venue. Other still have would like to cast in variety show, drama and movie as well".

After the press conference, from 7PM at the same venue, they will hold their 'First Kiss Live'. It was their second time this day having interaction with the fans.
