Fans of both singers want them to get married to each other
On May 21, Taiwan's pop princess Jolin Tsai and singer Jay Chou collaborated for the third time at Jolin's concert in Shanghai, performing the song 'Nothing Left to Say'.
However, to the fans' disappointment, their performance was stoic and not as appealing as their previous performance at Jay's The Era World Tour last year.
After the performance, fans posted on a site dedicated to the two singers and instigated them to kiss each other at their next performance together. Some even want Jay to "propose" to Jolin.
The site, known as 'Jolin & Jay Magazine', was set up in 2004, when Jolin and Jay were rumoured to be dating. It has a large following, who want their idols to reconcile.
Amongst the 500,000 posts, some included encouraging words like "Love courageously", "Get back together" and "Stop torturing us, please get married".
Some fans even addressed Jolin as "Mrs. Chou", ignoring the fact that the singer is currently dating model Vivian Dawson.
Jolin is currently rehearsing for her concert in Beijing. Jay will join her on stage again for the fourth time tomorrow. It is believed that the pair would be performing a different song.
When asked if their performance will be better than the previous one, Jolin's manager answered, "(Their) performance is set according to the song."
In response to the fans' suggestions, Jay's recording company JVR Music said, "We're not commenting on silly suggestions from netizens."
