Jolin Tsai and Jay Chou’s pre-informed reunion received negative criticisms
Taiwanese pop princess Jolin Tsai and her former lover Jay Chou reunited at her Shanghai concert last Saturday night to perform "Nothing Left To Say". Although the much-hyped performance included a brief face-to-face contact, Jay's facial expression seemed stiff and even Jolin "victorious" confidence seems to have gone missing.
As compared to their jaw-dropping surprise performance at Jay's The Era World Tour last year, netizens felt that the Double J's reunion lacks the element of surprise this time round as their performance was made known prior to the concert.
Although some fans were supportive of their reunion, others claimed that their reunion is becoming an "old trick", and hope that Double J will not share the same stage again.
It is said that as the pair are both busy with their own projects, Double J might not be reuniting after Jolin's concert stop at Beijing.
Although Jolin and Jay did not interact much off-stage, Jolin openly thanked Jay on her microblog yesterday for his support, and wrote, "Thank you, Jay."
It was reported that the award-winning artiste left the concert immediately after his performance to avoid seeing Jolin, but briefly spoke to the latter's family when he ran into them. A concert personnel even revealed that Jolin's mother was as excited as a fan when she watched their performance on stage.
It is known that Jay has returned to Malaysia to continue filming for The Viral Factor yesterday morning.
