Asian superstar Jay Chou is a happy man these days and it is all because he has found himself a new love.
No, she is not a new girlfriend but she is still a beauty.
The singer-actor, who plays the superhero Green Hornet's sidekick Kato in the action comedy "The Green Hornet" revealed Saturday on the official micro-blog of his talk show "Mr J Channel", that he loved his new car – the Black Beauty.
The Black Beauty, a 1965 Chrysler Imperial Crown, one of 29 used in "The Green Hornet" film, and of only three which survived the filming, was a gift from the film's production company and had only recently been shipped to Taiwan.
"These past few days, I have had a lot of paparazzi following me around but it doesn't affect my good mood at all because my Green Hornet Black Beauty has arrived," wrote Chou, who usually bristles whenever he sees paparazzi tailing him.
However, he was a little disappointed that the car was sans some of the more impressive features it had in the film, namely missile launchers.
"In order to clear customs, the car was not fitted with missiles. It is such a waste!" Chou added.
The paparazzi shadowing him can breathe a sigh of relief.
The 32-year-old star, who is known for his dislike of the paparazzi, had previously joked during the Taiwan premiere of "The Green Hornet" on Wednesday that he would fire the Black Beauty's missiles at the paparazzi if they followed the car too closely.
Chou had apparently already gotten a temporary license plate for his latest ride and wrote in his post that he will be cruising about Taipei with it very soon.
Starring Seth Rogen and Chou, "The Green Hornet" is now showing in theatres.
