Jay Chou reveals future plans, wants to produce film music

In order to show case the pop music industry in Taiwan during the last 10 years, the Taiwanese Government Information Office have been working with Channel [V] International with the theme "Taiwan, Press Play", interviewing the likes of Jay Chou, David Tao, Tanya Chua, Lu Guang Zhong and Yen-j.

In the special, Jay Chou mentions that even though he has desires in the Western market but he does not want to force it, but he is very proud that he was one of the first to combine classical hip hop and Chinese music. Talking about future plans, he believes in 10 years time he will definitely be still working in music, right now his immediate plans are to produce film music, even though it's no mainstream, but he said optimistically: "We're not scared of the record company folding, as long as it's good music we should share it with everyone!"

The Taiwanese pop music special "Taiwan, Press Play" is expected to be premiered on Channel [V] International on the 31st of July 8pm in Taiwanese time, viewers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Oman and more will be able to watch it. The channel is being broadcasted on Taiwan's HD MOD, Taiwanese audiences will be able to share in the pride of Taiwanese pop music along with the rest of Asia.
