Jay Chou has let go of his genius musician identity, in his new movie "The Viral Factor" he personally does the action scenes, he's bruised his hands and waist, Jay has put his all into it, in order to put in foundations to fight for the Best Actor.
32 year old Jay has focussed on acting rather than singing in recent years, not long ago he went to Hollywood but he's still got a soft spot for Hong Kong movies, the month before he found out that "Best Actor maker" Dante Lam was going to start filming the EMP movie "The Viral Factor", he came to Hong Kong 3 to 4 times to discuss the details with Dante Lam. Even though filming for the movie was delayed until just recently, but Jay Chou did not complain at all, he changed his schedule many times to fit, you can tell he is very sincere.
Jay Chou went to Jordan with the crew to film some shots for "The Viral Factor", he changed his usually smart appearance, he did a lot of fighting scenes and also participated in gun fight scenes.
He is often known for singing and playing the piano onstage, his fingers and voice are very important to him, who could have thought that filming a few shots in "The Viral Factor", he injured his hands and bled, plus the fact he had to hang from wires for long periods cause damage to his waist, directly affecting his singing career. This sort of drive has gotten praise from Dante Lam: "Before filming started I was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle the action scenes, but after working together I found him to be simple and direct, at the very least he's willing to try and do."
The movie is expected to come out next year during the Chinese New Year festivities, can Jay Chou become the next Dante Lam made "Best Actor" after Nick Cheung and Nicholas Tse, talk of this is too early now, but Dante Lam said he would like to work with him again.
